Dr. Edwin Ishoo

Dr. Ishoo attended medical school at the University of Michigan. He did his Otolaryngology residency at Boston University. He did a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, finishing in 2001. He also completed a traveling fellowship in Paris France with Olivier Laccouyer, MD at University of Paris. This fellowship stressed larygeal preservation surgery. He joined the faculty in 2005 as an Assitant Professor and is the head of otolaryngology at the VA Medical Center.
Dr. Ishoo's clinical interests include all aspects of head and neck oncology, skull based surgery, laryngology, and sleep apnea surgery. Dr. Ishoo is an expert in the evolving field of organ preservation/laryngeal surgery.
His research interests include facial trauma fixation, larygopharyngeal reflux.
